Lying in Wait
I chased a rainbow on my drive to work this morning. The sunrise was a brilliant sherbet glow from the east. It tried to break through the clouds over the horizon during the full twenty minutes I headed north. To my left was a full rainbow that arched over dozens of miles. Turning west the rain grew heavy and stayed the day.
I traveled far but never caught the end of the rainbow. There was no gold this morning. While I remain in wait, plans are drawn for the next action.

I believe it is the pursuit that is the best. To have caught the rainbow would have been a letdown.
