A Long and Wonderful Weekend

I know, I know... you don't want to hear it, but it’s true - I have the best siblings in the world.

We spent the weekend at the Northern Lodge, Resort and Day Spa. After long bouts of sleep and gourmet meals we were invited to an airfield dedication. It was the toast of the small town as a wealthy Chicago son assured his new neighbors of his good intentions for the thousands of acres he purchased for the toys boys would buy.

My only goal over the weekend, or in life really, is to make my sister laugh… laugh so hard she pees.

We spent a great deal of time in the car Sunday picking up Brian. Brian is from New Orleans and flew in for the weekend. The water here is colder than the bayou. He was made us a great dinner with crawfish.

In the morning we got up before the dawn and went to Mackinac (pronounced Mackinaw) to walk the largest suspension bridge in the western hemisphere (3rd largest in the world.) It was glorious weather for it. Then we ate fudge. The best fudge in the world is made in Mackinac. Not many people know it. But those who do keep it a secret so we have more for ourselves.
