Two New CDs for GME06

We have two new entries for the GME06 that I think are just phenomenally fun and creative. The first is from Kbob who has put together a high energy CD that must be played loud. I ignore the stare from other drivers as they pass me singing along with this set.

3. Steady, As She Goes - The Raconteurs
4. Musicology - Prince
5. My Kinda Scene - Powderfinger

Thank you both for the great additions to The Great Mix Experiment of 2006.

If you would like to join us this year, there are only four rules to follow:

Step 1 - Sign up by emailing Everywhere Man and committing to make 1 CD with at least 14 tracks. Use the email address under my profile to send me your mailing address.

Step 2 - You receive GME06 Green CD from Everywhere Man, a CD compilation of my best tunes from 2006 with liner notes.

Step 3 - Burn a CD for me, Everywhere Man.
- Do not include songs submitted from previous years
- Please have at least 14 tracks on your mix
- Your CD MIX must include the music you listened to during 2006, it does not have to have been recorded in 2006, just what you listened to in 2006
- Please include liner notes on why you added the song, what it means to you, or your favorite part of the song

Step 4 - In January you will receive a second CD that includes music from all the other entries called “The Best of the Great Mix Experiment 2006.”

  1. Mine is on its way, but it's just me and my music. Nothing that I stretched to find or to create. I have no idea who some of the artists are on the albums that have been submitted already (or yours that you sent) so mine will surely be far more main stream (and country!)

  2. How am I supposed to know if the songs I put on that CD are songs that were previously submitted or not?

  3. The "no previous songs" rule is for those who have sent in CD's from previous years. People new to the experiment are free to put on whatever they would like.

E.G. If your signature song is Peter Gabriel "Your Eyes" and you have put it on GME01, GME02, GME03, GME04, GME05... for the love of God please don't put it on GME06. It's a great song, but add something new to the experiment!
